BSc. (Hons) AMIEE MIIE IEng AMEPS
Born in Jersey and educated at De la Salle College.
Married to Stella with three daughters, Leianne (16.9.94), Rebecca (25.1.97) and Chloe (27.7.99).
Gained 8 "O" and 2 "A" levels.
Joined the Royal Navy in 1978 and after an apprenticeship became a Petty Officer Air Engineering Artificer in the electrical trade.
I gained a TEC Diploma in Aircraft Electronic engineering working on Sea King and Lynx helicopters as well as Sea Harrier.
Active member of the Volunteer Bands Service being Drum Major for H.M.S. Fisguard, Deadalus and Heron at different times.
I have been with the Island Band since 1986 and play side drum. I started at age 12 with the Jersey Sea Cadet Corps, then the Royal Navy and since joining the BIOJ have been on several training courses at Royal Marine Band establishments.
Left the RN in 1986 and worked for the Channel Islands Aero Club Engineering at Jersey Airport for 18 months working on light aircraft, mostly Cessnas.
On being made redundant I gained employment with the States' Department of Electronics and have been there ever since.
My job now includes all aspects of electronics, but mainly recently I have transferred to Jersey Airport as part of the Electronics Department, dealing in all aspects of the Airport's electronics infrastructure.
I have gained a BTEC HNC in electronics and a 2.1 BSc. (Hons) degree with the Open University.
I am now looking to develop specialised Avionics skills and studying for MEng. degree with the Open University.
